Thousands of records… and one man to rule them all.

Alf and vinyl records have been inseparable since Alf's fourth birthday.

He may have upgraded his Mickey Mouse record player for something with a little better sound quality, but he has never lost the deep but simple joy of putting stylus to groove.

While he was in his teens, Alf decided that this joy of music was something he wanted to share with others. He began DJing at parties and get-togethers, and took several weekly shifts at his college radio station. After starting his professional radio career in New Mexico, he relocated back to Colorado, and began a decades-long stint at KTCL-FM (Channel 93.3). He became the producer and host of three separate weekly programs - Adventure University, Locals Only and the Retro Show.

Not content with the typical DJ gig of “spinning in a club”, Alf has dragged his records and turntables to coffee shops, bookstores, art exhibits, restaurants and bowling alleys. He’s always on the hunt for new techniques and new locations, ready to add more music to the world.
